Reagan Building Atrium, DC

Chris Matthews keynotes the Better Business Bureau. At great and fairly amusing length.

Hittin' the road...

Jon Simler's avant-garde noise band is going out on tour. I've been helping him with errands, since he still can't drive. He's psyched. All over the US and Canada opening for a world-famous noise band, an oxymoronic phrase if ever there was one. He won't make a dime and doesn't care. This is their logo. His band is called "cash slave clique."

Headlights

This is like you and me, Pop, 'cause it gets pretty light-headed, half its brain shuts off after a very short while, and -as you can see by the bowl below- it's lost its marbles.

Yep, those are my childhood marbles, freed from the oppressive yoke of storage at long last!

Seen in an arcade...

Video game or Satan's proctologist? Or both?

Goodwill Store, Arlington

You really CAN get anything at a Goodwill.

Bob & Edith's Diner, Ballston

Friendly, fast, and formidably frugal. My new favorite eatery in this down economy. Breakfast 24/7, baby...

Much of My Life...

...looks exactly like this. If anyone ever writes my biography, this should be the cover shot.

Either Arlington or Brigadoon

...only a multicultural Brigadoon, where every hundred years a Chinese grocery and a pack of scruffy, lounging daylaborers appear out of the mist to glare at you and try to sell you bad pork.

Ballston

Foggy, yucky, kinda pretty. Long drive in this crap.

Gettysburg, PA

Local legend says it was this very Amoco that Pettigrew's rebel troops were knocking over when advance elements of John Buford's Union cavalry brigade stumbled on the scene. It was by the premium pump on island two that Buford was wounded in the earlobe, forcing him to wear an ear-cast for the remainder of the war.

The Majestic, Gettysburg, PA

Our pianist is late, and it turns out I suck.

Gray day...

I get to drive to Gettysburg today. Ugh. Love you guys.

Out the window....

...is a gorgeous, foggy morning. Things are foggy and beautiful everywhere it seems.

Casa de Ptomaine, FL

Jon gets all Mexican on our asses...

Stetson University, FL

"Touch the coach" sounds like something that would normal end in shame, degradation, and incarceration.

DeLand, FL

The basketball apparatus visible off stage left would seem to indicate that bad things are about to happen, accoustically.

Somewhere above the east coast...

This is how most flightslook to me, since I sleep under a blanket the majority of the time.

National Airport, 7:00am

Things are hopping. En route to Orlando.

Night view

You can kinda see my red-lit building in the upper left corner of the window.

Also from that same game...

Yeah, yeah, enough with the sports, I know, but I just love this picture. I'm putting it here to archive it.

Looks like a postcard for baseball, does it not?
