The creepy tunnel to Whittier, AK
It's a one-way tunnel seemingly hewn out of the living rock with human thighbones. Narrow, arched, with inlaid streetcar-like rails and little clearance or lighting. Terrifyingly equipped with alarmingly frequent 'safe houses' in case a quake brings the mountain down on your head. Mom, you would hate it.

Couple of pictures I missed....
FYI: our car would not start the next day in Fairbanks. If that had happened the night before, I doubt we would have survived being 10 miles from nowhere in -50 degrees. Whew!

The fine snow filling the air...
...was only seconds before a cup of near-boiling water. It turns instantly to snow. Doesn't work with cooler water, oddly. Dad probably knows why, but I don't. One of Fairbank's many unique entertainments.

Petersburg, AK
Small fishing town south of Juneau. In the little dive where we ate delicious garlic burgers, they were watching 'Alaska State Troopers.' In Alaska. Sweet.

I get this from you, Dad
It seems I always move in the snow. All going well, despite precipitation. And, inexplicably, camera stopped taking sepia-tone prints. Whee!
