Spring training in Florida
If you like baseball -and I do- it's a great time of year to be in Florida. Drove two hours to the Nationals' park on space coast (note the fallen inflatable astronaut). $20 for the best seats in the house, saw Ryan Zimmerman hit a home run, dropped a foul ball, and the Nats won 8-0. I love my job sometimes.

When you work in the Little Theater at a PAC like the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach....
...sometimes you get free tickets to things in the Big Theater. Like when the Pink Floyd cover band was there last night. Flying Pig and all!

The creepy tunnel to Whittier, AK
It's a one-way tunnel seemingly hewn out of the living rock with human thighbones. Narrow, arched, with inlaid streetcar-like rails and little clearance or lighting. Terrifyingly equipped with alarmingly frequent 'safe houses' in case a quake brings the mountain down on your head. Mom, you would hate it.

Couple of pictures I missed....
Here I am in front of the blue ice of the Mendenhall Glacier outside Juneau, and this is us chasing a blurry young moose through the mountains outside of Fairbanks on our aurora expedition. We saw the barest minimum of activity that will allow us to legally claim to have seen the Northern Lights, but we did get to chase a moose. Also, a better snowshoeing picture.
FYI: our car would not start the next day in Fairbanks. If that had happened the night before, I doubt we would have survived being 10 miles from nowhere in -50 degrees. Whew!
